Rise Nation Takes the Win

The North American teams were at the top at CWL Anaheim this weekend and with all four teams making into groups being NA, and with Ghost Gaming beating out the Heretics, all the way from Spain! and Enigma6 beating the European giants Brash for their spot. Rise Nation quickly became the big favorites for the event! Their dominance in the CWL Pro League and their win at CWL Seattle, the last open event, showed their true excellence and the potential they have to make the world cower! We have seen a lot of pride come from this group!

Rise did not disappoint their fans at all when they beat out Red Reserve in the final and became back to back champions! Even moreso, they secured their 3rd championship in Call of Duty: WWII.

As the tournament progressed we saw many downfalls and upsets. Some we are proud of and some we are disappointed in. Due to the size of the bracket and number of teams attending, it was difficult to keep a favorite aside from the obvious few! Our few favorites however, did well!

Rise Nation's Pierce "Gunless" Hillman won another deserved MVP award as he led his team to the top and now his MVP for his individual play at CWL Anaheim. Gunless also won MVP at the last open event, CWL Seattle, and he has been showing us great improvement!  His teammates are also showing improvement and they are becoming just a well rounded as an M&M and just in time for the final two events of the 2018 season.

Rise Nation looked a little bit shaky throughout the tournament, with the exception of their very opening match when they were shocked by Team Kaliber, but they quickly shook that off to win the tournament and have a lot of momentum to ride these high tides! And Gunless was definitely at the center of this, as whenever the stream broadcast cut to a listen in with Rise, Gunless was constantly communicating and directing his squad - all while putting up huge numbers in the kill column.

Their SnD ultimately helped them reach the Grand Final, beating Red Reserve in the winners final in a game five, and again once they were in the grand final, they won both the SnD's across the two series.

Gunless is now likely uncontested as the best overall player in WWII. His versatility is invaluable to Rise, whose other players, although brilliant in their respective roles, are quite rigid in them. Having Gunless to fill essentially any role that the team needs, and being able to rely on him to perform it near flawlessly, is what makes him the number one player in CoD: WWII, and a deserved back-to-back MVP.

With that being said, we are very excited for the future of the Call of Duty Tournaments and we have high expectation for our anticipated and continuous MVPs and tournament winners!
