A New Challenger Approaches: Echo Fox

With all the hype around Fortnite’s 100 million dollar prize pool, many organizations are looking to grab the best talent to represent them in the competitive scene. Established organizations such as Team SoloMid and FaZe Clan, and more have already finalized their competitive rosters. These players are being paid salaries and some even living together.

Rick Fox, founder and owner of Echo Fox, has already established his claim of the esports scene. The former Los Angeles Laker and actor transitioned into the esports realm after being influenced by his son Kyle and watching the North American League of Legends finals at Madison Square Garden. Echo Fox has signed many players from all spectrums of the esports industry. Some of the most notable Echo Fox players include Smash players Mew2King and MKLeo, Fighting game players Justin Wong and SonicFox, and their North American League of Legends Championship Series team including Huni and Dardoch. Recently, Echo Fox has been dominating the H1Z1 Pro League and have their sights on continuing to dominate the Battle Royale genre. We can expect Echo Fox to come out swinging with strong talent that they can claim as Echo Fox players.

As for the pool of players that Echo Fox cam scout from, many players in the top 100 on Fortnite’s top kills ladder and top wins ladder have not signed to any organizations. Also many streamers from CMG tournaments have also expressed their opinions about wanting to go pro. Echo Fox’s presence in the esports scene is very real and should allow them to find any player and fund them to the standard that esports organizations expect in North America. Fortnite has become the most popular game on Twitch, and with the 100 million dollar prize pool being assigned for just one year, Echo Fox is gathering their pack to compete for their share of the pot.
