Battlefield Released a Teaser Trailer Alluding to a WWII Setting

Battlefield fans rejoiced as a new Battlefield game was recently confirmed and details began trickling out. So far we haven’t gotten much besides some lofty promises from EA CEO Andrew Wilson. Now Battlefield developers have released a new teaser possibly alluding to the upcoming title taking place during WWII. The incredible short teaser features only a few frames of a man wearing goggles atop his forehead, placing his index finger to shh us and that’s it. The more perceptive fans were able to determine that the main focus of the teaser is actually the scoreboard that appears at the top of the screen. People were able to point out that the two flags that appear next to the score are actually the Union Jack flag of the UK and the Balkenkreuz flag used by Germany during WWII. This is the biggest confirmation we can get that the upcoming game will take place during the Second World War. Still there’s not really a lot to unpack but after all teasers at their core are designed to build hype based on speculation.

The lack of detail is certainly a clever choice, seeing as the trailer states at the very end mentions that there will be a live event on May 23rd. This will certainly be the time when EA will give us more details about what’s in store for the upcoming title. Hopefully, the developers give us some details that will help back up Andrew Wilson’s exciting but lofty promise. According to Andrew Wilson, this upcoming game will redefine the multiplayer shooter experience and will have an ongoing service. So far things have been incredibly vague when describing this game-changing multiplayer experience, and hardcore fans are itching for more clarity. This upcoming live event, as well as the gameplay that will be on display at E3, will be crucial in whether or not this new Battlefield will live up to the hype
