Call of Duty League Championship Weekend: Grand Finals Recap

The final day of the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend featured an epic showdown between OpTic Texas and Vancouver Surge in the grand finals. Both teams brought everything to the stage, but OpTic Texas ultimately secured the championship with a thrilling 5-3 series win.

OpTic Texas vs Vancouver Surge (Grand Finals)

OpTic Texas started the series strong with a 250-151 victory on Hacienda Hardpoint. However, Vancouver quickly answered back, dominating Dealership SnD 6-0. OpTic regained the lead with a narrow 3-2 win on Protocol Control and extended their advantage with a close 250-230 win on Vault Hardpoint.

The Surge refused to go down easily, taking Protocol SnD 6-5 and edging out Hacienda Control 3-2 to tie the series 3-3. In the pivotal Map 7, OpTic responded with a decisive 6-2 win on Hacienda SnD. They closed out the championship with a 250-215 victory on Rewind Hardpoint, sealing their title in style.

Mercules was named Tournament MVP for his outstanding play throughout the weekend, finishing with a 1.17 K/D in the finals and consistently delivering in clutch moments.

Champions Crowned

With this victory, OpTic Texas claims the CDL Championship trophy and solidifies their dominance at the top of the league. Vancouver Surge’s incredible lower bracket run falls just short, but they exit the tournament with their heads held high after an unforgettable weekend.
