CWL Championship Heads Toward Finals

This Saturday proved to be an insanely exciting weekend in the Call of Duty community as the Call of Duty World League Championship has started nearing its conclusion. Evil Geniuses and Team Kaliber have shown stellar performances and have advanced to Winner’s Finals. They have secured at least a 3rd place. This means at minimum, they are walking away with 100,000 dollars. Team Envy and Lightning Pandas were defeated by Evil Geniuses and elevated them to the winner’s bracket finals. Team Kaliber put up a hell of a match versus Elevate and eUnited to clinch their spot.

EG and TK will face off against each other in the next match of the winner’s bracket with FaZe, Team Envy, eUnited, and Luminosity all hunting to take 2nd place from whoever loses. For those not familiar, if you lose in the winner’s bracket, you are slotted into the loser’s bracket. The Grand Finals will be the winner of the winner’s bracket versus the final team left in the loser’s bracket.

The team to look out for is Luminosity as they have been on fire. They lost to Elevate and dropped into losers, but since then, they have eliminated Rise Nation, Red Reserve, and Lightning Pandas. These matches have most likely put the team’s confidence at an all time high and they only need to beat 3 more teams in order to challenge for the Grand Finals Prize.

Prizing at the CWL World Championship is:

First Place: $600,000 USD

Third Place: $100,000 USD

Fourth Place: $80,000 USD

Fifth and Sixth Place: $55,000 USD

Seventh and Eighth Place:$35,000 USD
