ELEAGUE PREMIER 2018

The ELEAGUE Premier starts today with 8 of the world’s top teams fighting to earn a one million dollar prize pool. This event is the final event of the season for most pro players. The team rosters have shaken a bit and the storylines of teams are set to clash again.

Natus Vincere and Astralis have had one of the strongest rivalries known in the CS:GO community. Both teams boasting strong European lineups and having massive success internationally. Both teams will be ending their 2018 season with the Premier and the result of this tournament will most likely cement the title of the best team in 2018.

Noah Whinston and Made In Brazil have taken the scene by storm with their acquisition of Stewie2K from Cloud 9. Furthermore, they have recently acquired Tarik as well and the player chemistry and history between the two pickups cannot be understated. With Boltz benched, Tarik, Stewie, and the core of MIBR should bring an unexpectedly strong showing.

With Stewie and Tarik’s departure from the team, the North American squad of Cloud 9 has taken a new approach. STYKO has rejoined the squad and former Fnatic member, Golden has come in to replace Tarik. Cloud 9’s most recent showing has not been up to par recently, but with enough time to settle the players into the team, C9 could show some unexpected performances.

Other than IEM Shanghai and some online tournaments, almost all of the top teams will take a break. The next tournament after the ELEAGUE Premier will be August 29th, so be sure to tune in to get your last chance at CS:GO action before the break!
