First Time into Esports?

Why watch other people play video games? Most new entrants are confused about the very nature of Esports and spectator sports. A decent beginner’s guide to Esports is the Telegraph’s ‘esports-beginners-guide’ page, which features news and guides about this complex gaming universe.

Equity Research

Broker reports are hard to get hold of, but what is recommended is to get your hands on articles which give a decent leverage on investment. A drawback although is that these articles are mostly not updated hence present slightly old data.

The Coven Equity Research (Jan 2018) – “Esports: How Soon is Now”, is a great report which goes into depth about the industry and investment opportunities. Another recommendation is the Morgan Stanley reports. These reports regularly cover publicly traded game makers and quite often these reports have updated industry commentaries.

Further research into the Esports investor world could be done via a blog named “Who is investing in esports startups?” If you need a list of investors however then the Crunchbase list of esports investors is a potentially updated list, but needs a subscription to view.
