Far Cry 5 Launch Update

Ubisoft announced the much anticipated release of the second major Far Cry 5 DLC titled “Lost on Mars” on 17th July. The Mars themed DLC already has many gamers hyped up, with thousands hooked onto early playthroughs on YouTube to see what they’re getting themselves into. There are three ways to purchase the DLC, as stand-alone DLC, as season pass or included in the Gold Edition.

Lost on Mars will take players on a new adventure to Mars where they will have to fight off an alien invasion. The players will be transported from Hope County to a brave new world as Nick Rye helps his partner Hurk destroy plans of an alien invasion on earth.

The entire walkthrough of the DLC will take anywhere from 7 hours to 12 hours, depending on how players decide to approach the game. Scaling and hopping across Ubisoft towers and bashing through wave of alien spiders, there are plenty of hilarious surprises waiting for players to uncover.

This bizarre adventure will give players access to an entirely different arsenal of alien weapons, the names of which have “Doom-like” vibes to them. Players can expect their weapons to be titled, “Hellfire”, “Morphinator” and “Blaster of Disaster”. Earth’s infamous heroes will be given access to cool new gadgetry including the transversal tool Space Jets.

Whether players decide to purchase the new DLC or not, everyone will get access to Mars-themed assets in Far Cry Arcade, which has already become available now. Map builders will be able to integrate the new assets into their existing maps and the opportunity to start afresh with exciting options. All additional content on Far Cry 5 will have mars themed assets that will be included into Far Cry Arcade for free.

There will be some exclusive content for players who decide to purchase the Lost on Mars DLC, including access to weapons like Obliteratorrrr, Nerve Reaper, Grape Popper and Taser Phazer Annihilazer to assist them in their adventures.

A third and final DLC is also planned in the future, titled Dead living Zombies, it will be released some tome around August. The new DLC will bring an additional asset tool to map builders to create their own unique Far Cry Arcade experiences. In addition, all new assets released for Far Cry Arcade will be made to all players completely free.

Players who got to try the DLC ahead of time have only good things to say about the game. Players get to control Nick Rye who will team up with Hurk and an AI character to prevent an invasion of alien crabs. The new theme is very reminiscent of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which had a unique side story to it. When Nick arrives on Marks, they’ll be a little shocked to find Hurk’s head floating on Mars while the rest of his body is scattered around the red planet. Players will transfer Hurk’s ‘consciousness’ into a robot companion.
