Fortnite Bug Fixes Incoming: Epic Games

As Epic’s genre-defining Battle Royale title continues to explode in popularity across a range of platforms, efforts to keep up with the game’s highly competitive (and growing) player base have proven to be a unique challenge.

While the number of active players across servers increase exponentially, chronic woes from existing bugs have become compounded by the introduction of new glitches via recent patches and updates.

Fortunately, Epic’s ongoing support for the title intends to reign in a wide range of these problems along with its planned additions for new content— developers have implied that they plan to implement at least a handful of these bug fixes via the game’s upcoming v3.6 update.

Players can expect a number of requested quick fixes to be implemented in the short term, including reloading issues with the Tactical SMG, and graphical pop-in effects that occur with small items such as shrubbery, trees, etc. on a number of platforms.

Longer term fixes, such as addressing unexplained crashes on mobile, can be expected to take a bit longer. However, an Epic Games developer has also confirmed via Fortnite’s heavily frequented subreddit that the incoming 3.6 update will also take measures to fix the game’s infamous inability to build through fences.

Other likely bug fixes to be addressed by 3.6 (or shortly thereafter) include texture display issues on certain outfits, weapon aiming problems with the Builder Pro controller layout, and other minor improvements.

In the meantime, Fortnite’s devs encourage players to submit information on any bugs they find via the game’s official forums, or by utilizing the in-game “Feedback” tab located in the options menu. Information on new bugs will likely prove invaluable to Epic’s developers as the title (and its ongoing stream of new content) continue to pick up steam.
