Fortnite's New Playground Mode

Fortnite may be moving up in the world, what with a record smashing $100 million tournament prize money, and a tournament with top celebrities, but this is apparently not enough. Fortnite is still coming up with new quirky game modes that will also feature llamas.

This prominent action-shooter game has revealed the all new Playground mode. In a blog post regarding the game’s development, they introduced the game’s atmosphere to friendly fire, llamas and respawns among others for a limited time only.

According to the developers, the Playground mode will induce a ‘battle to build your heart’s content with an extended period of time to explore the map alongside an increased resource generation.’ The blog post also goes on to explain the comically named ‘Lloads of Llamas’ as an added feature of challenges with player statistics not being tracked.

Furthermore, all ammo crates and treasure chests will be spawned for gamers to scope out and gather as loot. Friendly fire has been turned on so watch out for teammates blasting away at you to acquire these items. Friendly fire has however been allowed only for up to killing 4 of your teammates, and those who are killed will respawn immediately.

Amongst other notable changes is the revamp of the Victory Royale screen. This screen shows you your challenge progress notifications, offers an enhanced spectator user interface and improved replays. Also Epic Games aims to improve map navigation for players with this update.

One of the most awaited features that are included in this update is the jet pack. This is also a time limited offer so get your hands on it to soar around in the immense digital world.  Along with these one off updates, other inductions include enhancements in game performance such as optimized load times, an improved server performance and client network updates.
