Activision has revealed the full list of modes and content coming to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 betas. The two upcoming beta weekends will feature the expected multiplayer staples along with several surprises, including a playable campaign mission and a brand-new Warzone Resurgence map.

Early Access Beta (August 21–25)Players who pre-order the game on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X/S will get early access starting right after the Call of Duty NEXT showcase. This period includes:

• Nine multiplayer modes, mixing classics like Team Deathmatch and Domination with brand-new ones such as Kill Block
• Six multiplayer maps (five of them completely new to the series)
• A first for the franchise: a full campaign mission called “Entrenched,” playable during both beta weekends 

Open Beta (August 28–September 1)The open beta will be available to everyone on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. It carries over nearly everything from the Early Access period, with a few changes and additions:

• The “Lotus” map is replaced by “Lithium”
• Two new multiplayer modes: Hijack and Combat Outpost
• A brand-new Warzone Resurgence map called “Zodiac”

These betas give players an early look at what Infinity Ward has prepared for the full game, which launches on October 23, 2026.
