Season 4:Everything Players Need to Know

Call of Duty Season 4 is now live across Black Ops 7 and Warzone, bringing new maps, modes, weapons, Ranked Play changes, and a fresh Battle Pass.

The update launched on June 4 and marks one of the biggest content drops of the year so far. Players can jump into new multiplayer experiences, explore fresh Zombies content, and take part in major changes to Ranked Play.

New Multiplayer Content

Season 4 introduces five new and remastered multiplayer maps. The update also adds new game modes, loadout content, and seasonal challenges designed to keep players busy throughout the coming weeks.

As with previous seasons, new weapons and attachments arrive through the Battle Pass and seasonal events. Players can unlock free rewards through gameplay or purchase the premium Battle Pass for access to additional cosmetics and blueprints.

Zombies Gets a New Permanent Mode

One of the biggest additions in Season 4 is Rogue Run.

This new permanent Zombies mode brings a roguelite twist to the traditional Zombies formula. Players progress through randomized paths, unlock upgrades during runs, and face increasing levels of difficulty as they advance.

The mode is designed to offer a different experience from standard round-based Zombies and gives players a new way to earn rewards throughout the season.

Fortune's Keep Returns to Warzone

Warzone players will see the return of Fortune's Keep as part of the Season 4 update.

The map arrives with changes and refreshes aimed at improving gameplay. Season 4 also introduces new modes, gameplay features, and fresh challenges for players looking to earn rewards across Warzone.

Ranked Resurgence also returns as part of the seasonal update.

Ranked Play Receives Major Changes

Season 4 introduces one of the biggest Ranked Play updates since the mode launched.

The headline change is a new Skill Rating system that gives players more information about how SR is earned and lost after each match.

Instead of simply gaining or losing points, players will now see a detailed breakdown that explains where their SR change came from. Factors include match wins, scoreboard placement, opponent rank, and team strength.

The goal is to make Ranked progression more transparent and easier for players to understand.

Crimson Party Restrictions Have Changed

Treyarch has also adjusted Ranked Play party size restrictions.

Crimson players can now queue in parties of up to four players. This reverses restrictions introduced earlier in the year that limited high-ranked players to smaller groups.

However, Iridescent and Top 250 players remain limited to two-player parties. Treyarch says this helps maintain competitive integrity at the highest levels of Ranked Play.

Season 4 Ranked Rewards

Players can earn exclusive rewards throughout Season 4 Ranked Play.

Rewards include:

  • 10 Wins: Pro Issue MPC-25 SMG Blueprint
  • 100 Wins: Ranked Season 04 Large Decal
  • Silver: Calling Card
  • Gold: Calling Card and Weapon Camo
  • Platinum: Calling Card and Weapon Camo
  • Diamond: Calling Card and Weapon Camo
  • Crimson: Calling Card and Weapon Camo
  • Iridescent: Animated Calling Card and Weapon Camo
  • Top 250: Animated Calling Card and Animated Weapon Camo
  • Top 250 Overall #1: Exclusive Champion Animated Calling Card

These rewards can only be earned during Season 4.

New Ranked Play T-Shirt Program

Season 4 also introduces a new Ranked Play merchandise program.

Players who finish the season between Gold and Iridescent rank can unlock access to official Ranked Play T-shirts through the Call of Duty Shop. Eligible players will receive a code that allows them to purchase a shirt matching the rank they achieved during the season.

Final Thoughts

Season 4 delivers meaningful updates across every major Call of Duty mode.

The return of Fortune's Keep, the addition of Rogue Run, major Ranked Play improvements, and a fresh reward track give players plenty of reasons to jump in. Competitive players will likely pay the most attention to the new SR transparency system, while Zombies fans finally get a brand-new permanent mode to master.

With Season 4 now live, the race for rewards, ranks, and Battle Pass progression has officially begun.
