The definite Zombie guide in Call of Duty

Call of Duty is one of those names in gaming that have defined not only its own specific genre but the whole industry at  large. The games have undergone such a transformation in recent times that there’s a genuine intrigue within the fan base about what next can the legendary title come up with. Its history is filled with new innovations and examples of creativity that remain unmatched. One of these innovations was the Zombie mode.

Originally introduced as nothing more than a playful nod to the popularity of the Zombie genre within the public, it has quickly risen to become one of the most important and attractive options within the full game itself.

The latest rendition of the game is no different. Slegehammer Games’ Call of Duty: WW2 was able to deliver on its promise to go back to CoD’s roots. It also marked CoD’s return to the World War 2 territory after World at War was released in 2008. Therefore, the game was designed in order to welcome the new and old player alike. The Zombie mode was, as expected, one of the most played modes on the game.

So, here’s everything you need to know about Zombies in Call of Duty: WW2

The Intro:

Once you enter the Zombie mode on CoD, you’ll be hit with a plethora of jump scares that are meant to bring you to the edge of your seat and give you the full cinematic experience of what it means to be facing a Zombie herd. In the past versions, you could easily rely upon your trusted ammo to go at Zombie in one go and eliminate them as soon as possible. However, this time, the game has been designed to be smarter and adapt to your tactics. If you somehow manage to go through one wave of Zombies, you’ll find a second wave, and then a third and then a fourth.

Everything in the game depends on how many Jolts you get. Jolts are the currency you get after killing Zombies. It’s also what allows you to upgrade your character, buy guns, open locked doors and progress further into the map.

The Upgrades:

The upgrades that’ll be available to you vary on which wave of Zombies you are facing. So, don’t go using all your ammo at one wave since you might not have the option to buy additional ammo. However, consistently saving up your ammo isn’t a good policy either as by Wave 5; you’ll realize that you need something powerful to handle the horde of Zombies coming after you.

Weapons:

The guns for the regular mode of the game are different compared to how they function for the Zombie mode. These guns cater to the various styles and preferences that different players have. You won’t have to worry about a certain weapon not being powerful enough as almost all the guns are amped up to make the mode as much exciting as possible.

Progression:

The map can be unlocked and the finale can reached regardless of the wave count. As mentioned earlier, the game caters to everyone’s distinct style and preference. This allows gamers to play the mode according to whichever style they prefer.
