Season 1 brought a major shake-up to the multiplayer meta. With a wave of buffs, nerfs, and brand-new guns added to the arsenal, players have plenty to think about when crafting their loadouts. But despite all the fresh options, nothing competes with the Maddox RFB.

Maddox RFB: The best gun in Black Ops 7 Season 1

This fully automatic AR stands out because its fire rate ramps up after every two bullets fired, giving it an extremely fast TTK of just 249ms out to 25 meters, according to Warzone Meta stats.

It also ships with a default 40-round magazine, freeing up an attachment slot that would normally go toward extended mags. Instead, you can use that slot to enhance its strengths — whether that’s improving stability, tightening accuracy, or extending range.

What really makes the Maddox RFB shine is its shockingly low recoil for an automatic weapon. Black Ops 7 generally features more controlled recoil patterns to keep firefights balanced, but even with no attachments, the Maddox is incredibly steady. Its accuracy makes it easy to land consistent shots, letting you hit that lightning-fast TTK far more often than competitors like the M15 MOD 0 or AK-27.
