Resurgence Ranked Play was Warzone with the Black Ops 6 integration, but it’s coming back to the CoD’s battle royale soon.

Ranked Play has been hugely successful in Warzone, despite a prominent hacking situations at the top end of the ranks. First arriving on Al Mazrah with MW2, it then shifted to Resurgence maps during MW3’s lifecycle but was removed ahead of Black Ops 6

Battle Royale Ranked came to Verdansk with Season 3 Reloaded, and now, both Resurgence and BR will exist alongside each other for the first time.

Warzone Ranked Resurgence return date

Resurgence Ranked Play on Rebirth Island will return in Season 4 Reloaded which goes live on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

It will have the same ruleset it had during the Modern Warfare 3 era, and will run alongside Verdansk Ranked Play for the entirety of the season. So, you can choose whether you want to play the competitive mode on the big map or the more chaotic Rebirth Island.

However, the SR and rankings are separate, so your Rebirth Island matches won’t affect your Verdansk rank, and vice versa. The devs haven’t confirmed any separate rewards for Resurgence Ranked, so it’s not clear if you’ll get a new set of rewards for reaching the higher tiers of this mode.
