When is Black Ops 6 Season 6

Black Ops 6 Season 6 Overview
Season 6 marks the final major update in the lifecycle of Black Ops 6, and it’s shaping up to be a big send-off with the return of the fan-favorite Halloween event, The Haunting.

While Black Ops 7 officially launches on November 14, BO6 still has some life left. Season 5 delivered fresh weapons, maps, and events, and Season 6 promises more of the same — with a spooky twist.

As the last season before the new multiplayer era begins, it’s closing things out in style by reviving The Haunting, one of Call of Duty’s most popular limited-time events.

Black Ops 6 Season 6 Start Date

Season 6 is expected to begin on Thursday, October 9, 2025, based on the in-game countdown timer. This lines up with the scheduled end of Season 5, and since COD updates typically roll out the same day, this is the most likely launch date.

That said, the developers haven’t officially confirmed it yet, and with the Black Ops 7 beta running until October 8, there’s a chance the update could shift slightly.

The Haunting Event

After making a comeback in 2023, The Haunting has become an annual staple in Call of Duty, and Season 6 is set to continue the tradition. The event gives multiplayer a chilling makeover, complete with redesigned maps and horror-themed game modes.

Last year, players saw zombie-fueled modes like Infected and Hoardpoint. While it’s not guaranteed these exact modes will return, fans can safely expect at least one new horror-inspired LTM this year.

Players can also look forward to fresh maps with eerie atmospheres, along with revamped classics — similar to Modern Warfare 3’s gruesome Mad Cow (Meat) reskin.

Finally, The Haunting often brings crossover content from major horror franchises. In 2024, Call of Duty featured Halloween, Terrifier, and Smile 2. What’s coming in 2025 remains a mystery — but expectations are high.
