Season 3 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 launches on April 2, 2026, bringing a mix of new content, returning fan favourites, and major gameplay updates across multiplayer and Endgame.

Big Highlight: Endgame Goes Free-to-Play

For a limited time, the Endgame PvE mode is now available to everyone through Warzone. Previously locked behind campaign completion, this change makes it much easier for players to jump in and experience the mode.

Multiplayer Content

New Maps

At launch, players get several maps including:

  • Beacon (new snowy base)
  • Abyss (tight submarine layout)
  • Plaza (Black Ops 2 remaster)
  • Gridlock (Black Ops 4 remaster)
  • Mission: Trident (large-scale 20v20 map)

More maps arrive mid-season, such as:

  • Summit (remaster)
  • Hacienda (remaster)
  • Onsen (new small map)
  • Ascent (built for a new mode)

New Modes

  • Freerun Mode: A non-combat parkour-focused experience on the Ascent map.
  • Additional returning and limited-time modes rotate throughout the season.

Weapons and Equipment

Season 3 introduces several new weapons, including:

  • MK35 ISR assault rifle
  • VST SMG
  • Strider 300 sniper

Mid-season additions include:

  • 1911 pistol
  • Katana melee weapon
  • Siren energy weapon

There’s also a new Ion Core scorestreak, which emits damaging radiation pulses across an area.

Endgame Updates

  • Combat Rating changes: Players now lose a maximum of 15 points per squad wipe instead of losing everything.
  • Operator loadouts are now unique per operator, allowing more build variety.
  • New challenges and rewards are added through Operation: Poison Pill.
  • New abilities and skills expand gameplay options, including summon-based powers and special weapons.

Battle Pass & Events

  • A new Season 3 Battle Pass launches with fresh rewards.
  • BlackCell content and seasonal events provide extra unlockables like skins, camos, and weapons.
  • Special challenges offer exclusive cosmetics and progression rewards.
