Warzone Season 1 Swaps Maps

Activision is shaking up Warzone's competitive landscape with Season 1, launching November 6. The battle royale will temporarily retire its two most recognized arenas, replacing them with fresh battlegrounds designed to test players' adaptability and skills.

Hajin takes over as the primary Battle Royale destination, a sprawling Korean peninsula map featuring 13 major landmarks spread across urban centers, agricultural zones, and military installations. The dynamic environment includes weather systems and a brand-new Gulag mechanic that keeps the competitive intensity high. For Resurgence players, Zodiac introduces a tighter, industrial-focused experience centered around a South Korean manufacturing complex with underground networks and mobile obstacles that create unpredictable engagements.

The beloved originals won't stay benched indefinitely. Both Verdansk and Rebirth Island are confirmed to return during Season 1 with substantial upgrades. Verdansk's comeback iteration introduces Signal Station, Grazna-7 Launch Complex, Overlook skyscraper, and Drone Labs, transforming the map's visual identity and tactical opportunities. Rebirth Island retains its core prison setting while adding waterways and concealed passages to enhance gameplay depth.

The season also marks full integration of Modern Warfare 4's entire arsenal into Warzone, ensuring weapon variety reaches new heights for competitive loadout customization. Players should expect a rotation-heavy season that rewards versatility and map knowledge across multiple competitive formats.
