Activision has officially revealed its competitive plan for Call of Duty: Warzone in 2026, launching the Warzone Resurgence Series (WRS) — a new global esports circuit with a total prize pool of $1.2 million.
The series is built around Warzone’s fast-paced Resurgence mode, where teams of three battle it out to earn points through eliminations and high placements. The format is designed to reward consistency across multiple events, giving competitors plenty of opportunities to qualify and make their mark throughout the year.
Prize Pool and Key Events
The overall $1.2 million prize pool is split across several major tournaments:
-
DreamHack Birmingham — $100,000
-
DreamHack Atlanta — $100,000
-
Esports World Cup Championship in Riyadh — $1,000,000 as the grand finale.
These events are set to take place between March and July 2026, with the Championship Final aligning with the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia.
