BO7 patch notes

A new Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone update has arrived, bringing a fresh Season 1 Reloaded patch focused on weapon balance changes across multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone modes.

Weapon Adjustments in Black Ops 7

The patch rebalances several popular guns to trim their overall effectiveness and diversify the meta:

  • Maddox RFB — This assault rifle has been toned down because its fast time-to-kill and easy recoil control made it too dominant. Its damage range has been cut back, recoil increased, and movement speeds reduced to limit mid-to-long-range effectiveness.

  • AK-27 Battle-Scar Conversion — Originally meant to blend AR and marksman traits, this variant was too punishing in its fire rate. Penalties to movement and aim-down-sight speed have now been eased, and its slower firing style rebalanced for better use.

  • Sturmwolf 45 SMG — This newer SMG gets a buff: more damage range and reduced recoil make it stronger and easier to handle.

  • Changes in Warzone

  • Several adjustments target weapons dominating the Warzone meta:

  • Velox 5.7 (Akimbo) — The dual-wield version of this pistol was outperforming other close-range weapons. To address that, its damage has been cut in half when used with the akimbo attachment.

  • AK-27 Battle-Scar Conversion — In Warzone, this variant also had its movement penalties removed to improve handling, but other major buffs remain limited.

  • These tweaks are part of Season 1 Reloaded, which also includes new game modes and crossover events tied to the Fallout TV show. Players can unlock characters like Maximus and The Ghoul as part of the ongoing seasonal content.
