Black Ops 7 players believe that the Swordfish A1 marksman rifle is so “busted” that it actually turns bad players into good players. 

Even though Call of Duty has added new weapons to the game since the days of Black Ops 2, things have ramped up in the last few years. Now, every seasonal update brings a brand-new gun to the mix, and also balances the pre-existing arsenal of weapons.

However, when players get these new guns into their hands, it can be a while before they revert to something else. The fresh weapons have typically launched in a pretty powerful state, rocketing up to the top of the meta and dominating with a high pick rate.

That has been the case with the Swordfish A1, too. The marksman rifle was added to Black Ops 7 during the Season 2 reloaded update, and has quickly become a one-burst killing machine.

Swordfish A1 is “outrageous” in Black Ops 7

Some players believe that the weapon is too “unreasonable” and actually turns bad players into lobby-dominating demons.

“This gun is outrageous. TTK is only half of other weapons,” one complained “I didn’t think it was that bad till the match I just played. The top player of the match had 70+ eliminations and was literally one-bursting me every single time and one-bursted everyone in the play of the game,” another said.

“I love it, makes me feel like I’m a good player sometimes,” another added. “The fact that people are in here saying the Swordfish is not that bad are crazy. The gun is so freaking op,” another chimed in. 

Other players suggested that the gun is actually a mixed bag, especially when it comes to Warzone.
