A recently buffed Assault Rifle in Warzone is expected to become a top pick after the popular Voyak KR-3 received a major nerf in the Season 3 update.
The patch introduced a range of weapon balance changes, with the Voyak being toned down after dominating long-range fights since its arrival in Season 2. Developers explained the adjustment was meant to keep the weapon viable while reducing how often it was used as a low-recoil option.
With the Voyak no longer as powerful, the MXR-17 is emerging as a strong replacement. The rifle received several improvements, including increased damage range and slightly faster aim-down-sight speed.
After the changes, the MXR-17 can deal 42 damage per shot up to around 55 meters and 38 damage beyond that distance. It also gained higher limb damage multipliers, making it more effective in a wider range of situations. ()
While each buff is relatively small on its own, together they significantly improve the weapon’s long-range performance. It already had a competitive time-to-kill before the update, and these tweaks push it closer to the top tier of Assault Rifles.
The main downside is slightly higher recoil compared to easier-to-use rifles, but with the right attachments and some practice, it can quickly become one of the most powerful choices in Warzone
