Rocket League Progression Update

Soccer and destruction never gets old, but it is always nice when an update comes across. Rocket League released a new update that will revamp the XP and progression system come Aug. 29.

Developers Psyonix overhauled its progression system that will shift ways to earn XP. Players will be able to earn progress through online matches come next week instead of offline and allow players to level beyond 75, the previous cap. While most of the update is simply shifting and re-organizing the progression process, there is a bit of excitement as players will be able to earn items as they level up as well as various titles.

Along with the update, players will be able to form clubs to help organize teams and competitions. The Clubs will help connect players and can host up to 20 players. Clubs will be able to compete using a custom tag.

The previously announced Rocket Pass will be released with the update. The pass will run for $9.99 and release new content for Rocket League events. While the content isn’t exclusive to Rocket Pass, it will speed up how quickly a player will access them. Players will still be able to earn the content through free play. According to developer Psyonix, the content will take about 100 hours to earn all the content.
