Ubisoft New Anti-Cheat For Siege

With the new Season releasing soon for the long running Rainbow Six: Siege, Ubisoft has announced lots of new details including a new inhouse developed Anti-Cheat that is aimed towards console players. This cheat system is called Mousetrap, and the purpose of this system is to catch players that are using 3rd party devices like Mouse and Keyboards and make their gaming experience more difficult.

Ubisoft feels like banning players doesn’t do much as this just causes them to create a new account and continue to play and hurt other players' experience. With this new Anti-Cheat the objective is to increase the players input lag as they continue to play making it harder and harder to play the game. The system will detect if you are using a spoofing device to get an unfair advantage. This system is already in place but is just in testing to collect data and will be launching with the new season update.

Other notable changes are a new operator named Brava, she is a three-speed, one-health Operator, and carries a PARA-308 or a CAMRS as a primary weapon and a USP40 or a Super Shorty as a secondary weapon. There is also going to be weapon and game balancing like the removal of reload canceling. If a player has some bullets left over and go to reload, they can no longer cancel it mid animation but will still remain with 1 in the chamber.
