Warzone Season 2 is Coming Soon – All the Key Details
Call of Duty’s Warzone is gearing up for its next big update with Season 2, which promises a fresh wave of content and changes for players. Season 1 delivered a huge overhaul to the game—including every Black Ops 7 weapon, a new Resurgence map, and even a Fallout crossover—but now developer Raven Software is planning to build on that momentum in 2026.
Season 2 Launch Date
The new season is expected to begin on Thursday, February 5, 2026, right after the current Season 1 Battle Pass ends. While delays are always possible, that date lines up with how past seasons have rolled out.
Rebirth Island Gets a Winter Makeover
One of Season 2’s biggest updates will be a redesigned Rebirth Island. The Resurgence map will receive a winter-themed overhaul, blanketing much of the island in snow for a totally different look and tactical feel. A new point of interest (POI) near the docks—drawn from the Black Ops 7 campaign—is also joining the map.
Possible Blackout-Style Mode
Back during the CoD Next showcase in late 2025, developers hinted at a new game mode inspired by Black Ops 4’s Blackout experience. While there’s no official confirmation yet, there’s a chance this mode could launch with Season 2 or arrive later in a mid-season update.
