90s Action Heroes Event Coming to Black Ops 6 and Warzone 

A new limited-time event called 90s Action Heroes is set to launch in Black Ops 6 and Warzone, bringing a wave of rewards inspired by the iconic era of action films.

Even as anticipation builds for Black Ops 7, BO6 continues to deliver fresh content. Season 5 promises a substantial update with new weapons, a Battle Pass, and the final chapter in the Zombies storyline.

This update also introduces a new schedule of seasonal events, with 90s Action Heroes kicking things off. Here's what we know so far:

When Will the 90s Action Heroes Event Begin?

There’s no confirmed start date yet, but the event is set to launch sometime during Season 5, which begins on August 7.

According to the official blog, the event will arrive "in-season," so it likely won’t go live on day one. The earliest expected date is August 14, though it may launch anytime before the anticipated mid-season update in early September.

What Kind of Event Will It Be?

While specific details haven't been released, past events in Black Ops 6 have followed one of three familiar formats:

1. Challenge Events – Players complete sets of objectives across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone to earn rewards.

2. Collection Events – Tokens dropped by enemies must be collected to reach milestone rewards.

3. XP-Based Events – Rewards are unlocked simply by earning XP through normal gameplay.

Unless Activision introduces a new format, it’s expected 90s Action Heroes will fit into one of these categories. More information will be provided as soon as it's available.

What Rewards Are Included?

The event will feature 13 unique rewards, with two already revealed:

• Mister Peeks Field Upgrade (Zombies mode): Summons a character from Liberty Falls who distracts and attacks enemies while upbeat music plays—perfect for escaping overwhelming hordes.

• Boxing Gloves Melee Weapon: The mastery reward for the event. While it requires multiple hits to secure a kill, it offers faster strikes and increased range, making it ideal for close-quarters combat on tighter maps.
