You can start competing on CMG ARENA now. Enjoy a format similar to Ranked Play: queue solo or with friends, compete in 4v4 matches against players of similar skill, earn XP, and climb CMG’s own rankings. ARENA is an independent competition played in private MW4 lobbies.

What Is CMG ARENA?

CMG ARENA is a free 4v4 competitive experience built into Checkmate Gaming. It brings together team matchmaking, match results, and a ranking system so you can track your progress as you compete.

You do not need a full team to get started. Join alone, queue with one or two friends, or bring a complete squad of four. If your party has fewer than four players, CMG fills the remaining positions with teammates.

Matches take place in private lobbies inside MW4. Once your match is scheduled, use the CMG match chat to coordinate invites with your teammates and opponents.

A Familiar Competitive Experience for Ranked Play Fans

If you enjoy the team coordination, meaningful wins, and progression of Call of Duty Ranked Play, CMG ARENA offers another place to put those skills to work.

Get a head start on your competitive MW4 grind by practicing team coordination, learning to play together, and working toward a higher ARENA rank. You can play solo when your friends are offline or queue together when your squad is ready.

CMG ARENA has its own XP and rankings on Checkmate Gaming. Your ARENA results are separate from your in-game Call of Duty rank, and you coordinate private-lobby matches through CMG.

Choose Search and Destroy or Respawn

Different players enjoy different styles of competitive Call of Duty. CMG ARENA lets you choose Search and Destroy, Respawn, or both before joining the queue.

You can also select your platform and region before queuing. Review your selections, invite any friends you want to play with, and join the queue when you are ready.

Earn XP and Climb the ARENA Rankings

CMG ARENA currently awards 30 XP for a win and deducts 25 XP for a loss.

The ARENA leaderboard displays each player's numbered rank, XP, wins, losses, and win percentage. Follow your results, compare your progress with other competitors, and give yourself a target for your next session.

How to Start Playing CMG ARENA

1. Sign in to your Checkmate Gaming account and open CMG ARENA.
2. Read the current ARENA rules.
3. Queue solo or invite friends to your party.
4. Select your playlist, platform, and region, then join the queue.
5. Once matched, use the match chat to coordinate invites and join the private lobby.
6. Play your match and report your result in the Matches tab.

Joining matches, reporting results, and following the rules are part of competing in ARENA. Missing matches or failing to report can result in temporary restrictions.
