Fortnite Summer Skirmish Week 4 Review

Fortnite’s Summer Skirmish has reached its half way point as of last Friday. Popular streamers, Pro esports players, content creators, cosplayers, and more have been invited every weekend to compete for a 1 million dollar prize pool. This week showed a variety of new faces and some traditional popular streamers. However, one player triumphed over them all and earned a 67,000 dollar prize for first place.

NotVivid is a streamer with viewers in the thousands and has the skills to compete with the best. He has impressive finishes in the current Fortnite Esports realm including 1st Place: Summer Skirmish Week 1, 2nd Place: Ninja's Redbull Rise till Dawn, 8th Place: Summer Skirmish Week 2, and 1st Place: Step One Masters League S4 along with the win he earned on Friday. His performance on Friday showed 2 victory royales and multiple +4 kill games to earn him first place.

Liquid Poach is a player many people may recognize from TSM Myth’s streams or streams with any of his other teammates such as 72hrs, Chap, and Strafeshot. Poach is no stranger to the competitive side of Fortnite and has been showing great performances throughout tournaments such as Keemstar’s Fortnite Fridays and the previous Summer Skirmishes. This time around, he showed his consistency as he always managed to place top 10 in every game. His knowledge of the game and his patience helped him climb all the way to second place.

We are unsure what next week’s format will be, but we know that new faces will appear and new winners can be had. Fortnite Esports is just in infancy and with the bugs fixed from Week 1 of the Summer Skirmish, it seems that the only way is up for the scene. Tune in next Friday to catch the beginning of the second half of Fortnite’s Summer Skirmish.
