Xbox is marking its 25th anniversary with new collaborations and hardware. As part of the celebration, an upcoming crossover with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will deliver a special weapon blueprint—primarily for Xbox console players.Xbox acquired Activision Blizzard in October 2023 after nearly two years of regulatory reviews. Since then, the company has added older Call of Duty titles to Game Pass and released newer ones day-and-date on the service.Xbox Series X|S owners who digitally pre-order Modern Warfare 4 will receive the exclusive Inner Circuit blueprint for the classic M4 assault rifle. The design pays tribute to 25 years of Xbox with a translucent OG-green finish that reveals the weapon’s internal components, similar to the anniversary console hardware. “XBOX 25” appears at the base of the magazine, and the Xbox logo sits on the side with its signature glow.Players on other platforms are not left out. Those who digitally pre-order on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox on PC, Steam, or Battle.net will get a similar M4 blueprint with alternate mil-spec visuals in brown and red tones and only a subtle Xbox identity.Both versions share the same attachments:

The build is compact and suited for mid- to close-range, aggressive playstyles.Interestingly, the visual exclusivity works one way: only Xbox Series X|S players will see the translucent green anniversary version. Players on other platforms will see the mil-spec variant—even when matching against an Xbox player using the exclusive blueprint. This marks the first time Call of Duty has featured a visually exclusive weapon skin based on platform.
