Doom Eternal Trailer Released

Doom Eternal is not only showing off a few updates but will also be coming to Nintendo Switch. ID Software showed off what would be coming to Doom Eternal during the 2018 QuakeCon using a seven minute video of new gameplay showing off guns, levels and storylines.

The Doom Eternal video showed off its update with Doom Slayer 2.0. Players will be controlling the new Slayer which the storyline will be following. Moving from a single game lore to a Doom universe franchise, players will become the Doom Slayer and fight their way through demons plaguing the new dying earth. But the updates will also offer at least one other locations for players to fight through — one of Mars’ two moons.

But while maps are a fun and new exciting part of the game, it’s the weapon’s and gameplay modes that really hold everyone’s attention — particularly id’s introduction of the Super Shotgun’s Meat Hook attachment. It sounds as wild as it is. The gun will now be able to shoot a hook rather than bullets, allowing the Slayer to hook demons and pull himself to them for a surprise attack. Along with the introduction of the Meat Hook, the latest game will receive a new all-invasion mode. The new game mode may in fact be the best update to the Doom Universe.

The studio revealed the new game mode would allow players to play as demons and invade other campaigns as such. Players will be able to team up and strategizes before heading out to invade other players as demons.

Id software confirmed that the sequel to Doom would be coming to PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Switch. The game will run at 60fps for most consoles. Id software ended the night showing how pc gamers would be able to compete on a pc, showcasing the speed of the gameplay with a mouse. Pc gamers will be able to quickly move around the game and receive an increased field of view.
