Ghost has been one of the most popular Perks in Warzone since the battle royale launched back in 2020, and it’s about to become even stronger with the Season 2 Reloaded update.
The Ghost Perk keeps you hidden from enemy UAVs, allowing you to move around the map without giving away your position. However, it only works while you’re moving. If you stop moving for too long, the effect turns off. According to the Perk description, Ghost is disabled if you stay still for more than 1.5 seconds.
This short window is known as the “grace period,” meaning you have 1.5 seconds after stopping to start moving again before Ghost deactivates.
With the Season 2 Reloaded update arriving on March 11, the developers are increasing the amount of time you can stay still while still benefiting from Ghost.
The official blog confirmed that the grace period is being extended from 1.5 seconds to 5 seconds. This means players will be able to stay hidden from UAVs and other intel-gathering tools for longer without needing to constantly move.
This is a significant buff, as five seconds gives players much more flexibility during gameplay. You’ll now be able to spend more time at Buy Stations, looting, or repositioning during fights without instantly revealing your location just because you paused for a moment.
It’s worth noting that this change only applies to Battle Royale and Resurgence modes. The new Black Ops Royale mode doesn’t use the traditional Perk system or UAVs. Instead, players can carry up to five Perks at once, and each one only lasts for a few minutes after being activated.
Black Ops Royale will be added shortly after the Season 2 Reloaded update, launching on March 12, and it will feature a different approach to gunfights compared to standard Battle Royale.
