The final big update for Black Ops 6 and Warzone has officially dropped, bringing with it a fresh round of weapon tuning, new gear, and the return of a fan-favorite event.

Even though Black Ops 7 is just around the corner, there’s still plenty happening in this year’s Call of Duty. Season 6 is the last major season for BO6, and it’s going out with a bang — introducing new weapons, balance updates, and the comeback of The Haunting event, featuring crossover appearances from Predator, Chucky, and Jason Voorhees.

Here’s a breakdown of everything new in Season 6, including all weapon buffs, nerfs, and additions for Warzone and Black Ops 6.


Warzone Season 6 Updates

Loot & Economy

Adjustments

  • Ground Loot: The Merrick 556 Assault Rifle and Dresden 9mm SMG are now part of the ground loot and Supply Box rotations.

  • All ground loot weapon builds have been refreshed, with random attachments removed for a more reliable looting experience.

  • Most placed weapons have been updated to match the new loot pool.


Equipment Changes

Throwing Knife

  • Base damage: 175 → 250

  • Headshots: 500 damage

  • Neck/Upper chest: 275 damage

Smoke Grenade

  • Max carry limit reduced from 2 → 1

Thermobaric Grenade

  • Detonation time: 1.75s → 1s

  • Inner damage: 220 → 280

  • Outer damage: 55 → 175


New Weapons

  • Dresden 9mm SMG: Full-auto, high damage, easy to control, but best suited for close-range fights. (Battle Pass Page 3)

  • Merrick 556 Assault Rifle: Strong range and great for headshots, can switch to semi-auto with an attachment. (Battle Pass Page 6)

  • Chainsaw Melee (In-Season): A gruesome melee weapon perfect for The Haunting event. (Unlock via Chucky Event Pass)

  • X52 Resonator (In-Season): A full-auto anomaly weapon that changes form depending on the Shard attachment used. (Unlock via Echoes of the Dead event)


New Attachments

  • GPR91 Double-Barrel Conversion: Fires two bullets simultaneously with added recoil. (Battle Pass Page 7)

  • GPMG-7 Muzzle Booster: Boosts bullet velocity and rate of fire over time at the cost of higher recoil. (Echoes of the Dead event)


Default & Gulag Loadout Updates

  • Enforcer Loadout: Merrick 556 replaces the Kilo 141

  • Infiltrator Loadout: Dresden 9mm replaces the Saug

  • Gulag: LC-10 replaces Jackal PDW; Ladra replaces KSV


Weapon Balance Changes

Assault Rifles

  • ABR A1: Damage ranges increased.

  • AK-74: Recoil reduced by 10%.

  • CR-56 AMAX: Range and bullet velocity slightly boosted.

  • Model L: Damage range and velocity increased; torso multiplier improved.

SMGs

  • KOMPAKT 92: Faster movement and ADS mobility.

  • PPSH-41: Better range and ADS speed.

  • SAUG: Range slightly extended.

Shotguns

  • ASG-89: Improved range, multipliers, and faster ADS.

  • Marine SP: Slight range boost, better flinch resistance, faster ADS.

LMGs

  • PML 5.56: Buffed damage multipliers and recoil control.

Marksman Rifles

  • TR2: Better range and faster ADS.

Snipers

  • SVD: Improved range, velocity, torso multipliers, and faster ADS.


Black Ops 6 Updates

New Weapons

  • Dresden 9mm (SMG): Fast-firing with solid recoil control, great reload speed, and excellent handling. (Battle Pass)

  • Merrick 556 (Assault Rifle): Versatile and precise, excels at long range and rewards accurate shots. (Battle Pass)

New Attachment

  • GPR91 Double-Barrel Conversion: Adds a second barrel for double shots at the cost of more recoil. (Event Reward)


Weapon Adjustments

Assault Rifles

  • GOR 91: Fast Mag now holds 26 rounds instead of 25.

  • Goblin Mk2: Reduced hipfire spread and first-shot recoil.

  • ABR A1: Increased damage at all ranges; slightly higher recoil when using Full-Auto Rapid Fire.

Marksman Rifles

  • TR2: Fire rate increased from 480 → 522 RPM.

  • Tsarkov 7.62: Fire rate boosted from 231 → 250 RPM, improved flinch resistance.
