For the first time in Call of Duty history, finishing the Black Ops 7 campaign will open up a brand-new, replayable mode called Endgame. Think of it as a PvE-only take on DMZ — you’ll drop into the full map of Avalon, complete objectives, scavenge loot, and extract successfully to keep progressing.
In Endgame, your Operator’s Combat Rating acts as a progression system, unlocking powerful new abilities as you play. On top of that, you can earn exclusive weapon camos that carry over into Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone.
Like previous titles, Black Ops 7 is fully embracing the live-service model. Season 1 is already shaping up to be the biggest launch of content yet, and Treyarch has confirmed that Endgame itself will receive seasonal updates — at least through Season 3.
Post-launch support for Endgame
Treyarch’s Senior Director of Production, Yale Miller, told CharlieIntel that support is locked in for the first three seasons.
“We have plans for season one updates, season two updates, [and] season three updates,” Miller explained. “How far we keep going, we don’t actually know right now, but … what we’re actively having in development right now is updates all the way through season three.”
The caveat? Continued updates depend entirely on community interest.
“If we see meaningful engagement — people asking for more, wanting more stuff — then we’ll do more,” Miller said.
So for now, content is guaranteed through Season 3 (which usually lands in early April), but additional support hinges on player demand.
A six-hour story that becomes your own
Endgame also comes with its own storyline, expected to take around six hours to complete depending on your skill level. After that, the mode becomes more of a personal journey — shaped by your progression, challenges, and the roguelite elements Treyarch has layered in.
Miller described it as an evolving challenge:
“Progression, and what you leveled up, and can you do the most difficult challenges … because of the roguelite sense of loss and everything else, it’s a journey to be able to go do that stuff.”
And if you’re the type to chase rewards, you’ll be glad to hear Endgame is packed with unlockable camos and challenges. As Miller bluntly put it:
“There’s a lot of sh*t to do in there.”
